3 Warning Sign's When Hiring A PPC Agency - 3B1

Finding a good, reliable and trustworthy PPC company can be an arduous task. This is especially true if you don’t know them or they haven’t been recommended to you by someone that you trust. It’s difficult to tell the good ones from the bad ones before work commences. So here are a few warning signs to watch out for when they are pitching to you.

1: Promising Too Much

As with many things and especially in the Pay Per Click realm past performances are not guarantees of future success. There are an astonishing number of variables at play in a PPC campaign and so it’s impossible for a firm to guarantee success. It’s better practice if the agency were to say things like “if we change X and Y then we would normally expect the following outcome” rather than “we guarantee to increase your sales by 20%”.

2: No Interest In Your Business

It’s important that a PPC agency either understands your industry already or asks you questions about it. Different types of businesses require different strategies, best practices are not always relevant. If a company starts telling you what to do with your accounts day-parting, call extensions, goal conversion action and your geographic targeting without asking you about them first you should be concerned.

3: Secret Strategies

It’s acceptable for a PPC agency not to share every little detail about what they will do due to the sheer number of strategies that may need to be implemented. However if they won’t tell you anything about how they plan on turning your performance around it’s a good idea to call their bluff and start asking questions.
